Whether we like it or not, many of today’s tax laws are convoluted and even filing a relatively simple Tax Return can be considerably complicated for many. Add to that the fact that income tax laws keep changing from year-to-year, simple compliance can become a challenge and overlooking deductions and credits to which you are entitled is easy to do. Even if you use a computer software program (and hope it "asks you" the right questions, let alone explain different strategies) there’s no substitute for the assistance of an experienced CPA.
